It's time for... The Mario Marathon '14!

It's that time again, time for the Mario Marathon (#7!)

If you haven't watched the Mario Marathon before: a group of kindhearted gamers get together to raise money for Child's Play charity

From Child's Play website's About section:
Since 2003, we’ve set up and organized Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide. Over the years, you as a community have answered the call and come together to raise millions of dollars.
Child’s Play works in two ways. With the help of hospital staff, we set up gift wish lists full of video games, toys, books, and other fun stuff for kids. By clicking on a hospital location on our map, you can view that hospital’s wish list and send a gift.
Child’s Play also receives cash donations throughout the year. With those cash donations, we purchase new consoles, peripherals, games, and more for hospitals and therapy facilities. These donations allow for children to enjoy age-appropriate entertainment, interact with their peers, friends, and family, and can provide vital distraction from an otherwise generally unpleasant experience.
We have been watching the Mario Marathon every year, and we LOVE IT. The Mario Marathoners play various Mario titles live, and there is extra entertainment throughout, such as the Wheel of Awesome. Hilarious. ♥ There is also a level checklist! So if you're interested in watching: head on over, enjoy, donate if you can and share more about this marathon and charity! FOR THE CHILDREN!

Geek Love || 01

Hello! It's me, Eleishia. I thought that I would share what I am loving with you this Friday. Enjoy!

Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin: Em and I are on episode 22 and I can't believe we only have three more to go until the end of the season! I am so glad that it's been confirmed that a second season is coming.

Ursula Cosplay: I didn't even realize that Ursula was my favorite villain until I was enjoying Disney music on Pandora and fell in love with "Poor Unfortunate Souls." She's so deliciously evil. I've seen some amazing cosplayers cosplaying as Ursula, however this woman, with her skin coloring and dress and tentacles - bad ass.

The IngenuiTEA Teapot (16oz!) x2 and Timmy's Tea Sampler x2: Em and I bought this, this month and our order will be here on Wednesday! We can't wait to try the flavors. I think my favorite will be Zombie Blood Orange. Mmmm.

Death Note Rule List T-Shirt: Eeeee. 'nuff said.

Ygritte Cosplay: Game of Thrones, a brilliant cast of brilliant actors and actresses. I adore Ygritte, and her beliefs. I admire this cosplayers outfit!

Zelda Heart Ring: Who couldn't love this ring?!

Finally, my WildStar Cassian Warrior: Rukkia is her name and she is my WildStar version of my character Rukkia from Star Wars: The Old Republic (Dark Side for the win!) I am so excited and I can't wait to play her, but right now I am working on my Aurin, EleishiaFae!

Geek Tag x Emma's Take

The Great and Powerful Trixie

1) Warrior, thief or wizard? (laugh) Well that's a hard one. I've always wanted a rogue on WoW, and on Skyrim nothing is as fun as sneaking up and slitting throats with my thief or picking people off with an arrow without being seen. But I always end up wanting that big sword and pretty armor. And sometimes sneaking just gets boring and you need to just run in, you know?
2) Favorite subject in school? History
3) What would your patronus be? a Cat
4) Who is your favorite superhero? Deadpool... Does he count?
5) Marvel or DC? Marvel

When's Mahvel

6) In what un-sports related way, do you keep in shape? Drinking caffeine and gaming. (No, really.)
7) What is your dream career choice? An American billionaire playgirl. ("So, basically, a female Iron Man?" Eleishia asked. Yes.)
8) Favorite video game? Ocarina of Time
9) What is the nerdiest thing about yourself? I just splurged on a $130 figurine of Kat...

Gravity Kitten

10) Nerdiest movie in your collection? Neon Genesis Evangelion (which came with a cool NERV sticker that was on my car and got lost.)
11) Playstation, Xbox or Wii? PC master race, duh. Xbox is over-priced as hell, Wii U is cute but there aren't enough cool games to carry it right now, so I guess I am stuck with Playstation.
12) What is the biggest word you know? Leukodystrophy
13) What fictional character did you fantasize about as a kid? Following Elei's lead... No comment.
14) Jocks! Friends or foes? Jocks are future losers.
15) Old school bit games or modern 3D graphics? In-between. Such as A Link to the Past which still looks beautiful and N64 chunky, adorable 3D goodness.
16) Nerdiest pick up line? I don't use pick up lines.
17) Do you have a random useless talent? What is it? No, all of my talents are useful.
18) Greatest nerd accomplishment? I don't think I have any.
19) If you could have any super power, what would it be? Just give me a Death Note and I'll be fine.

Geek Pride Day x Geek Tag

WildStar Aurin

HAPPY GEEK PRIDE DAY! Em and I are celebrating by gaming (of course) and I am doing this tag... Which should be a video, however I am waiting until my webcam arrives to do more vids. Also, above is my WildStar mascot. She's an Aurin, if you haven't played yet.

I can't wait until launch. Eeee! I've had a thing for pink this month, so... Pink everywhere.

Now... Eleishia's answers:

1) Warrior, thief or wizard? I would go with... Wizard. (BUT... Paladin is my favorite.)
2) Favorite subject in school? This is another hard question. Hm. Probably biology.
3) What would your patronus be? Either a lion or a snake, as I am both. (Western and Chinese astrology.)
4) Who is your favourite superhero? Thor is awesome, however... Iron Man.
5) Marvel or DC? MARVEL. *flail* (...I do love DC as well. Ugh. I can rarely give a straight answer!)
6) In what un-sports related way, do you keep in shape? Swimming, biking, yard work, hiking (when I can), general exercise (mainly cardio) and yoga (*practicing yoga).
7) What is your dream career choice? Self-employed artist.
8) Favourite video game? Gotta go with Knights of the Old Republic. Memories. ♥
9) What is the nerdiest thing about yourself? Em and I met role-playing on the official Harry Potter forum back in 2003! (There's a LOT more about myself that is nerdy... But this is my favorite thing.)
10) Nerdiest movie in your collection? Sadly, our collection is very small. (We watch a lot of Netflix and Hulu.) However: The Avengers.
11) Playstation, Xbox or Wii? ...Ugh. Probably Xbox. But... But Wii has Zelda and Mario and... This is another hard question. Can I have one of each?
12) What is the biggest word you know?
Superfragilisticexpialidocious... Yeah. (I have what I call soul words, and most of them aren't long.)
13) What fictional character did you fantasize about as a kid? ...No answer.
14) Jocks! Friends or foes? That completely depends on their personality.
15) Old school bit games or modern 3D graphics? I have a passion for old school gaming graphics, butttt I gotta go with modern. *pets the screen* So pretty.
16) Nerdiest pick up line? Anything from Doctor Who that is appropriate. Which is pretty much everything. "Be my companion?" That'd be ADORABLE, but I am not sure if people would understand. ^_^; I am so glad that Em is a geeky gamer as well.
17) Do you have a random useless talent? What is it? Hm. I can make my voice sound like Apple Bloom from Friendship is Witchcraft? Haha. I can also do a spot on impression of Bon Bon from Friendship is Magic.
18) Greatest nerd accomplishment? Watching the Star Wars Christmas Special. (Or is this the worst nerd accomplishment?)
19) If you could have any super power, what would it be? Immortality and I could grant a select few others with said power. If that's too overpowered, I would take super strength or the ability to embarrass asshats... I never said I was nice.

This Little Saturday...

anime, rain

Hello! Eleishia here. This little Saturday... has been very rainy, which I love. I did a video review on my Necomimi kitty ears (pictures below) that Emma and I absolutely adore. I've been playing Knights of the Old Republic again (thank you so very much Em!). I missed this game. I have also become a strategy game addict! Do you have a favorite? I am so thankful for Steam! (Here's my profile!)

This little Saturday... we'll be watching more Attack on Titan. Emma and I will focus on cleaning (it's so hard to get started.) I will attempt to start drawing again (it's been so long.) I signed up for this amazing geek girl pen pal website and I can't wait to find out who I get paired up with.

I've been finding a LOT of geeky bloggers lately and I am thrilled. If you blog about geekiness or anything, really, leave us your blog name so we can visit! Now... Here's our Necomimi ears!

Emma, Kawaii, Neko, Necomimi, Neurowear

Light a Candle and Make Your Home Smell like a Hyrulian Summer

Hyrulian Summer

Hello, Eleishia here! I love (good) scents, whether they're room fresheners, perfumes, or even just natural scents like rain or pine. When I came across Fictitious Fragrances, the first candle I saw was Hyrulian Summer and I have to buy this one for Emma and I as we're both The Legend of Zelda fangirls. (Fact: I was almost named Zelda because my father played non-stop when my mother was pregnant with me!)

Fictitious Fragrances has a lot of other fabulous scents, such as...

Chocobo Stables

The scent description for Chocobo Stables is sweet hay, grass and leather. Mmmm!

Hobbit Hole

Emma and I would not mind living in a Hobbit Hole. They seem so cozy, and this candle is perfect for curling up with a good book and a pipe.

Hufflepuff Basement

I am a proud Hufflepuff, thank you very much! I can definitely imagine our basement smelling like musk, cedar, amber, grass and earth

The Doctor

The Doctor. Need I say more?

I must buy Dragonborn for Emma! She's on a mission. She's completing every achievement that she can get while we wait for WildStar to be released! She is a huge Skyrim fan.

If you visit Fictitious Fragrances, which candle(s) would you buy?
